The client for this condo remodel is an avid traveler and Italophile whose goal for the renovation was to create a place for relaxation in between adventures. To bring the feeling of Italy to Portland, the JHL Design team explored the country’s dedication to deep jewel tones, detailed woodwork, and luxe natural stone like Carrara marble which has been quarried since Roman times. The firm tapped craftspeople from Italy to Portland, and in between, to bring the design to life.
